Mountain Man, live in Dublin

Filmed in the Iveagh Gardens, Dublin, singing Animal Tracks.

Friday 2nd July.

Can't wait for... The Runaways movie!

The Runaways  rock 'n' roll biopic will
get a UK release in late August, and hopefully an Irish release will follow close by.
The film, which centres on the
formation and turbulent career of Cherie Currie and Joan Jett's all-girl group in the '70s, and
stars Kirsten Stewart and Dakota Fanning.

I can't wait for...

Whip It, new film directed by Drew Barrymore, staring Ellen Page (Juno) as Bliss, a rebellious Texas teen who throws in her small town beauty pageant crown for the rowdy world of roller derby. Opens nationwide on 7th April.  I've been a rollerskating girl for many a year now and can be often spotted up and down the lovely cycle lane outside Phantom Towers. Check out the trailer above.

Soundtrack is pretty excellent too:

Album of the Month, February 2010

TinderOk so it was released in January, but I've only just had the chance to have a really good listen to Falling Down a Mountain by Tindersticks. Fantastic stuff, though I won't comment further on Peanuts. Just because it has Mary Margaret O'Hara singing on it...

You can get the album on iTunes here: Tindersticks - Falling Down a Mountain
